About

I’ve had an extensive career as a professional performer, as well as a decades-long career as a voice teacher. In both areas of my work, I have crossed the traditional lines of musical styles, moving fluidly between the worlds of opera, classical concertizing and the musical theatre arena. I earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Marymount College and a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music. I taught voice at Marymount College for 13 years, at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, for three years, and have been a member of the voice faculty of the University of Miami’s Department of Theatre Arts since 2013. Additionally, I’ve also taught musical theatre classes at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC for three consecutive summers and Master Classes at Seagle Music Colony in Schroon Lake, NY, for six years.

I’ve performed on opera, concert, and musical theatre stages around the U.S. and Europe while also maintaining a private voice studio in NYC for decades, teaching professional singers, actors, and dancers from every musical and theatrical discipline. In addition to my university instruction, I have an active private studio in South Florida. My performing and teaching background has offered me the opportunity to author a book for other teachers, as well as voice students of all levels: Uncovering Your True Voice: A Practical Guide for Singers & Teachers.
